Participation in the generous giving of Christmas gifts to the many children in the Foster Angel Wish List Program, benefitting the foster children of Palm Beach County.
The presentation of a (rare, built in Italy) convertible four passenger baby carriage to a foster mother of autistic children
 

 

As the organization that reversed the law abolishing Columbus Day as a paid holiday for city workers in Boca Raton Florida. Trinacria, Sicilian American Society coordinated the combined efforts of other local Italian American Clubs and the Order Sons of Italy in America Lodge to introduce the first Columbus Day parade in Boca Raton. As a result, the “Key to the City of Boca Raton was received from the mayor.
 

 

Introduced the traditional “Tavola di San Giuseppe” or Saint Joseph’s Table. Each year, this table is set up and decorated in the true Sicilian tradition for our Saint Joseph’s Day Dinner / Dance. The results of the sales of items from that table are donated to the Diocese of Palm Beach County, to aid orphaned children.
 

 

In 1997 we conducted the first Tour of Sicily by our organization members at reduced prices. We witnessed “Easter Week in Caltanissetta Sicily, and event that is nationally televised on Italian television.
In addition to giving aid to the orphaned children of Palm Beach Country, two scholarships were given to scholastic, but needy, High School graduates.
 

 

The implementation of the Vincent Giardino food fund drive, where the collection of canned food is brought to the soup kitchens of Palm Beach and Broward counties.
 

 

An expanded charity campaign resulting from annual receipts from dinner / dances and Saint Joseph’s Tables that also takes in the Orphanage of Messina, Sicily (Orfanotrofio Antoniano Maschile).
 

 

Donations also include money for Boy’s Towns of Italy, an organization founded in 1944 by Father Carrol-Abbing in Rome.

In 2008

Donations were provided to:

  • Ministry of the Madonna of the Poor
  • Rita Battalio-Crittenden Scholarship Fund at Holy Name of Mary School in Valley Stream, NY
  • Hospice by the Sea, Boca Raton FL, in memory of deceased members
  • Ministry to the Needy at Ascension Catholic Church in Boca Raton, FL
  • Annual Scholarship award given at Pope John Paul II High School in Boca Raton. This year’s award was given to a young lady to help with her continued education in the Italian language at the Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C.
  • Donations to the poor via Sister Norma of Chile

We are now associated with Patronato Di Florida Vincenzo Caruso, advisor to achieving dual citizenship with Italy. Call us for information.

Aided in the formation of an umbrella organization, “Confederazione Siciliani Della Florida”, uniting all
Sicilian-Americans of Florida.
